Theory of Induction and Its Implicaions in Martyr Ñadr's Religious Thoughts

Abstract:
The value of a science depends on the value of its propositions. The role induction plays in the development of science depends on the value scholars give to induction and its implications, a thing that has always been subject to doubts. Having presented the theory of intrinsic logic against rational and empirical logic and the theory of thematic certainty against logical and intrinsic certainty, Ñadr authenticated induction paving the ground for its entry into important domains of Islamic sciences. The application of the theory of induction in Ñadr's religious thoughts includes the fundamentals and branches of a religion and instrumental sciences. He uses induction in dealing with monotheism, prophethood and imamate as religious fundamentals. He also uses it in order to discover jurisprudential rules and standards and the systems underlying religious precepts in the thematic interpretation. In logic, he brings about changes in the elements of rational thought and in the principles of jurisprudence, he presents a new explanation for the validity of juristic evidence.
