Investigating vandalism and its causes among high school and university students in Northern Khorasan province

The present study tries to investigate vandalism and its causes among high school and university students in Bojnord. Among the hypothesized causes satisfied needs, sense of injustice, individual characteristics(gender ,education, marital status and age), life satisfaction, sense of attachment to society, belief in religious teachings, the status in social classes, the extend of law abiding, following peer models, and making friends with delinquents are investigated through a survey study. The statistical population includes all high school and university students, of which a sample of 385 is selected using cluster sampling. Descriptive and inferential analyses show that satisfied needs, sense of attachment to society ,belief in religious teachings, the status in social classes, the extend of law abiding, and following peer models are the major causes of vandalism in the studies population.
