The Survey of Teacher's Attitudes in Using ICT in Teaching

Abstract:
In recent years, the use of ICT in teaching has been expanded.The aim of this research was to investigate teachers’ attitudes in using ICT in teaching from teachers’ viewpoint, in the educational year of 92-93. The population of this study consisted of all high school teachers in Karaj city (300 people). They were chosen based on random cluster sampling by using Morgan standard table. Researcher-made questionnaire was used to gather the data. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts, and its reliability was calculated by Cronbach’s Alph Coefficient which was acceptable (89%). Generally, the results showed that teachers hold positive attitudes towards the use of ICT. The inferential statistics analysis of the data showed that there was no significant difference between sex variables and teachers’ attitudes toward using ICT in teaching, but there was a significant difference between teaching experience, age, and education level, and teachers’ attitudes toward using ICT in teaching.
