Effect of Simultaneous cropping of legumes and nitrogen levels on protein percentage of corn grain

In order to study of simultaneous cropping of legumes and nitrogen levels on protein percentage of corn grain, this study was carried out in field of agricultural research center of Markazi province in 2013. A factorial arrangement of treatment in a randomized complete block design with three replications was used. Urea manure levels [N0= without urea (Control), N1= 75 Kg ha-1 of urea, N2= 150 Kg ha-1 of urea, N = 225 Kg ha-1 of urea) and simultaneous cropping treatment, (S1= cultivation of corn, S2= cultivation of corn chickpea, S3= cultivation of corn cowpea, S4= cultivation of corn mung bean) were assigned in plots. Each plot consisted of 4 row, 6 m long with 60 cm between rows space and 20 cm between plants on the rows and S.C 704 hybrid was used. Results indicated that the interaction effects of different levels of urea and simultaneous cropping treatment on the characteristics such as: protein content, forage weight of legumes, number of grain per m-2 and nitrogen use efficiency of corn门⺙ were significant. The maximum and minimum of protein content (8.70 and 7.06 %) were obtained with the (cultivation of corn chickpea 225 Kg ha-1 urea manure) and (cultivation of corn without of urea manure) treatment. Treatment of the (cultivation of corn cowpea 75 Kg ha-1 urea manure) with average 203 percent and treatment of the (cultivation of corn without of urea manure) with average 0 percent were maximum and minimum of nitrogen use efficiency in corn legumes, respectively.
