The effects of prosopis farcta as medicinal plant on growth performance, carcass characteristics and blood metabolites in broiler chickens

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with medicinal plant of Prosopis farcta on growth performance, carcass traits and serum biochemistry in broiler chickens. A total number of 288 day old broilers (Ross 308, mixed male and female) were randomly allocated to three treatments with four replicates and 24 birds in each replicate in a completely randomized design. The period of study was 49 day. The dietary treatments were consisted of the basal diet as control group, and two groups with whole plant powder of Prosopis farcta supplemented at 1 and 2 percent in diet.
