The use of Peirce's opinions in studying the alphabetic signs in poet's Divans (case study: Anvari's Divan)

Author(s):
Abstract:
In present article the author, first justifies Charles Sanders Peirce’s opinions and then, based on his opinions deals with semiotics of Anvari’s alphabetic attitudes and explains all of his literal poems.
The Peirce semiotics theory has a very close relationship with the prevalent rhetorical criticism in Persian language, but encompasses upper interpretative potentiality in comparison with it and helps reaching to more scientific conclusion. In this research, pierce’s icon, index, symbol well known triad and their semiotic evolutionary process in Anvari’s Divan has been investigated.
The singular, lineal and involved semiotic processes are the three kinds that the author has differentiated from each other. Finally, the author concludes that the iconic signs have a greater sameness to classic Persian rhetoric in contrast with indexical and symbolic signs; also, the semiosis of alphabetic letters in Anvari’s Divan, has a very easy attribute to its object and interpretation.has a very easy attribute to its object and interpretation.
