The Typology and Methodology of Interpretive Traditions of Imam Baqir (AS)

Imams Baqir (AS) are the true interpreters of the holy Quran, and whatever they interpret about the Quran are the exact words of the Quran because they are the true walking Quran, and they have received the science of interpretation of the Quran from Prophet Mohammad (Pbuh). Since those noble Imams after Prophet Mohammad (Pbuh) are the most knowledgeable and the wisest people to the knowledge of Quran, in this study we have decided to deal with the traditions of Imam Baqir (AS) about this field of science. The current paper has examined the typology and interpretation methods of Imam Baqir (AS) and concludes that the Imam in his speeches, depending on the capabilities and the atmosphere of the society, has explained the knowledge of the Quran in several ways including: Quranic sciences, the interpretation of the Quran with the Quran, the interpretation of the Quran with Sunnah, Jerry and matching, the explanation of Quranic parables, the appearance and reality of the Quran, the dispelling of doubts, the referential expression of Quranic verses and educational dimensions etc.
