Hence, 36Tthe current study aimed at 31Tdeveloping a 31Tcomprehensive31T model for 31T36Tchronic pain management31T36T in the elderly.

Methods
31TIn order to 31T36Tprocess31T36T identification and developing a 31Tcomprehensive31T model for 31T36Tchronic pain management 36Ta qualitative study was applied. Unstructured interviews and observation of participants as the main methods for data collection were used. Study participants including 62 people consisted of 30 elderly people with chronic pain, 3 relatives and 29 health care providers participated with purposive and theoretical sampling methods in Ahvaz city. Data analysis was performed concurrently with data gathering based on Corbin Strauss’s proposed method. Data rigor was confirmed via Lincoln and Gubba’s approach.
Results
36TDeveloped chronic pain management model 31T36Tin the elderly consist of five constructs inclusive living with pain, 31Tloving life, holistic support, being vulnerable and 19Tailment19T. Among them 31T“living with pain” was the 19T31Tmajor19T 19Tconsept19T. In this comprehensive31T model, pain as a disease and a bio-psycho- socio spritual phenomenon was known. 31TBarriers such as vulnerability, and facilitating factors including holistic support and loving life 31Twere31T cosidered. Diagnostic and therapeutic interventions will be done regarding to multidiciplinary collaborations. Finally, chronic pain will be managed with a holistic and balanced approach using different pain reliving methods.
Conclusion
The 19Tobtained19T model in 19Tthis study19T is 19Ta19T 19Tcomprehensive caring model. In order to its use in19T 19Tclinical settings, testing of this model by 19Tfurther19T studies19T 19Ton19T 19Telderly patients with19T 19Tchronic19T 19Tpain will be19T 19Tneeded.
