Ranking the Faculties and Scientific Departments of Amin Police University with Inaccurate Data
Continuous evaluation of organizations’ performance is essential in their growth and development. Amin Police University also needs assessment and evaluation in the path of its progress and development. The present study aims to run an academic performance assessment on the faculties and scientific departments of this university using scientific methods based on mathematical models.
This study uses mixed model data envelopment analysis and decomposing the data into their major components and determining the commons weights. To determine the basic variables of the assessment, the experts’ ideas of Amin Police University, including the heads of faculties and scientific departments (41 individuals), were employed by the confirmatory factor analysis. In this study, in facing with an inaccurate variable in the assessment of scientific departments, the fuzzy logic was utilized that is the main innovation of this study.
The results of assessment and ranking indicated that the faculties of “Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence science and technique”, “Kosar Training Complex”, and “Nasr Training Center” are in the first, second, and the last ranks, respectively. In the assessment and ranking scientific departments, it was also shown that the departments of “Traffic Engineering” was in the first rank, the three departments of “Law Enforcement”, “Command and Management”, and “Border Guarding” were in the ranks of second, third, and fourth, and “Aviation Department” was in the last rank.
