Analyzing the Lifestyle of Imam Husayn (PBUH) with Emphasis on Relationships to Wife and Children

One of the most important issues that have been discussed in Islam is the style of dealing with wife and children. The aim of this research is analyzing lifestyle of Imam Husayn (PBUH) with emphasis on his relationships to wife and children. The statistical population of the research is all books and journal articles on Imam Husayn's (PBUH) lifestyle. Statistical sample consists of twenty books and four article. The qualitative content analysis, with an applied approach, has been used for the analysis of the books and articles. Components of his lifestyle include seven main components (behavioral, structural, communicative, social, cognitive, affective-emotional, and spiritual) and thirty sub-components. Based on the research findings, it reveals that Imam Husayn's (PBUH) lifestyle with elements like neatness, devotion to relatives, good mood, decent behavior, frugality, and compliance with and loyalty to the wife, parenting, vocal communication skill, self-improvement, entertainment, anger management, death awareness, resilience and the like can be a model of improving couple's relationships and excellent parenting and can be sources of durability of a dynamic married life and eventually an empowered society.
