Knowing the Capability of Mothers for Religious and Moral Education of Their Children: Psychological-Religious Approach

Women and especially mothers enjoy, due to their special capabilities, an exclusive status in religious and moral education of their children. The present study aims at explaining and investigating the capabilities of mothers in religious and moral education of their children and has been conducted based on religious as well as scientific findings. The research method is descriptive-analytical and inferential. To do so, after identifying and extracting the capabilities of women and mothers and their role in family system from the viewpoint of religious texts, it has analyzed the content of those texts to investigate the capabilities of mothers in this regard in religious and moral training. Mothers and women, due to their exclusive bio-social capacities, their enjoying a special emotional status, their being equipped with verbal and non-verbal capabilities, immunizing by good housewifery, and their capacity for learning by observation have a decisive role in religious and moral training of their children.
