Standards in Jihad-e-Agriculture Educational Libraries

Aims: The aim of this research is to study the compliance of Jihad_e_Agriculture educational libraries with “Standards for Iranian university libraries”.
All Jihad_e_Agriculture educational libraries across the country (42 libraries) are shaped the research population. Descriptive method is used to do the research. Data are gathered by cheklist drived from the mentioned standard.
Finding: Results show the compliance of research population with standard in the field of human resources, by%95, reached the highest score. Library services, by% 61.8 placed at the second and resources organization, by% 55.45 reached the thirs level. Except “ornganization and management” features, by% 51.1, the research libraries population was low in the other 4 of 8 standard features. All together, libraries population keeps distance with ‘Standards for Iranian university libraries’ in 4 mentioned standard features.
Jihad_e_Agriculture educational libraries should try to improve the standards especially in the field of aims and duties, budgeting, library services and equipments.
