Comparison death anxiety and loneliness in the elderly with Life Orientation optimistic and pessimistic

Due to the rapid growth of the elderly population in the 21st century, especially in developing countries, pey attention to the physical and psychological needs of the elderlies is essential. This study aimed to compare anxiety and loneliness of death in the elderly with Life Orientation optimistic and pessimistic . This study was causal-comparative. Thus, the two groups of elderly (optimistic and pessimistic of Life Orientation) were compared death anxiety and loneliness. All the elderly population (6041 people) retirement center's national airline Iran (Homa) in Tehran were chosen who were examined in 1394. To collect the data, death anxiety, loneliness and life orientation scale was used. To analyze the data, multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was used.
