The Analysis of The Courier's Role in Ibn Nasooh Shirazi's Mohabbatnameh

This article aimsto analyze the innovationsof IbnNasoohiShirazi¡ the poet of the eighthcentury¡and theroleof couriers intheMohabbatnameh. Mohabbatnameh is oneofthe subsets of Dahnamehpoem. Dahnameh is a romantic and narrative lyric intheformatof ghazal and masnavisynthesis that is created basedon theexchangeof letters between thelover and thebeloved. Themain patternof the most Dahnameh poets is the Awhadi Maragheyi’s Dahnameh¡ but IbnNasooh has created some innovations in this field. IbnNasooh masterpiece is that he has added to thenumberof couriers in hispoem and also has used them wisely inthe imagination creating. Mohabbatnameh has ten couriers: TheMoon¡TheSun¡SabaWind¡ShamalWind¡Comb¡Mirror¡ Candle¡Butterfly¡Flower¡ and Nightingale. In fact¡ IbnNasooh has built his Dahnameh not based on the letters¡ but based on these ten couriers. Inother words¡ not only the letters are shaped on the basis of a dialogue between the lover and the beloved in Mohabbatnameh¡ butalso thecouriers are advancing thenarrative.He has made a pleasant proportion between the courier¡ the transmitter and the receiver. Moreover¡ these tencouriers have a majorrole increating contents¡ construction of the images and atmosphere.The most important courier of Mohabbatnameh is thesixth one whichis theMirror. IbnNasooh has benefited well from this courierand mirror’s secret in Mohabbatnameh . This courier is the turning pointof the narrative in Mohabbatnameh. Lover has changed after seeing the reality of love in the mirror and being aware of the unity of the lovers¡ and after that the arrangements of the link are provided. Research in this way can be very effective in the recognition of the literary value of Dahnamehs¡ the type that it is almost unknown.
