Background And Aims
The aim of this study was to investigate the Effectiveness of emotional working memory Training on Execution Functions of children with Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
Methods
The research method was Quasi-experimental with pretest - posttest and control group. The Statistical population included all children with attention deficit / hyperactivity in Karaj city during the school year 2015-2016 that 21 of them were selected as eligible for the study and randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups. The Emotional working memory training was treated individually during 15 sessions of 30-40 minutes for experimental group, while the control group did not receive such training. Both groups were tested in pre-test and post-test By Go/No-go and Digit Span forward and reverse Wechsler Intelligence of children.
Results
The results of multivariate analysis of covariance showed a significant difference between the two groups in response error in the test Go / No-go and Digit Span forward and reverse components of the Wechsler Intelligence of children. This means that emotional working memory training could reduce response rate of error in subjects and increase Digit Span forward and reverse memory in these subjects.
Conclusions
Thus, it can be concluded that in the treatment and education of children with attention deficit / hyperactivity, emotional working memory training can be used as a main core for specialists and trainers.
