A Consideration of Retail Industry (Case Study: Iran's Chain Stores)

Retail industry in the format of chain store is one of the most important industries which effects each industrial and production supply chain especially in FMCG. The current industry environment faces emerging and developing new competitors. So, we need to pay attention in applying effective mechanisms in keeping and promoting customer satisfaction and indeed, selling by improving the quality of services and adding more values for customers. In recent years, based on increscent of competition in retail market and emergence of chain supermarkets, consideration and analysis of chain stores conditions and forecasting new competitor's conditions is so necessary. To do so, the current research applies a library and survey methods in some parts to introduce and analyze Iran's chain stores conditions by criterions like goals, visions, activity scope, geographic dispersion,
competitive condition, ownership etc. for chain store managers and customers to get a clarified view of this industry. The results shows the increscent of competition in inbound retail industry especially in chain stores based on it, those organizations will succeed which diagnose the key elements of success and use them.
