Analysis of the Iranian Border's Security - Defensive Preparation, With Passive Defense Approach (Case Study: Dylam Harbor - South Of Naiband Bay)

Bordering areas of the country due to the distance from the center, underdevelopment, and unemployment and, etc, are suffering from several problems, including trafficking, insecurity, and defense and security vulnerability. In these circumstances, attending to defense and security considerations in the preparation of these areas, in addition to socio-economic development, could provide a suitable stability, security and development. This study aimed to answer the question that "to what extent the border security- defense preparation (in the region) with passive defense approach, can reduce vulnerability, and strengthen defense and homeland security and national stability?", and tried to analyze and investigate the role of security-defense preparation of military units, and economic infrastructure and population in the study area, in reducing vulnerability, strengthen defense and homeland security, and national stability. The research method is analytical one, and data was collected through library and field study. Warden's theory due to containing the main components of any state's power, and that all components, except the components of national leadership in the area of the study, are true, has been used as the base theory. This study is a quantitative research, and the results indicated that population centers are the most important components of defense- security planning in the study area. Further, it was concluded that the current situation of regional planning in terms of security-defense components is inadequate, especially in terms of the components of population centers, military bases and economic infrastructure and cannot respond to the threats to the Islamic republic of Iran.
