The Identification of the Factors Influencing the Border Villages Satisfaction of Khorasan Razavi, In Order to Achieve Lasting Security

Achieving sustainable security, in addition to military facilities, requires an active presence and participation in the process of securing the border. This can be achieved by increasing the satisfaction of bordering people from their living conditions in border villages as the vanguard of protecting border security. Since Khorasan Razavi province has 800 kilometers borders with Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, it increases the attention to the security of the eastern border. The aim of this study was to identify factors influencing the satisfaction of the people living in border villages of Khorasan, which is one the important factors in order to achieve sustainable security; The research question is that; what are the factors influencing the border villages satisfaction of Khorasan Razavi, in order to achieve lasting security? In this regard, the villages distant from zero to 50 kilometers of the border of Khorasan Razavi province, which were about 416 samples, were studied using the analytical method, statistical tests, correlation coefficient and Stepwise Regression, to identify factors influencing border satisfaction.The result indicate that, generally speaking, the living condition compared to economic condition in villages under the investigation, is higher which was approved using T-test. Also in the villages bordering with Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, except the difference in the services and welfare indices, there were no significant differences. The results from Stepwise Regression indicated that, 12 indicators explain the dependent variable, among which economic indicators have the most important role in defining this variable.Therefore, improving the economic conditions, especially in agriculture field, plays an important role in increasing life satisfaction in the rural population.
