The Role of Rural Women Facilitators in Training of Sustainable Development and Environment Protection

The objective of this survey is to investigate the role of rural women facilitators in extension of sustainable development and environment protection measures in Qazvin province villages. This survey is a descriptive – correlational one. The research tool was a questionnaire delivered to scholars and experts for validity evaluation. The reliability also was confirmed by a preliminary test of the questionnaire and completing 30 of them. Cronbach's Alpha coefficients were obtained for different parts of the 0/75 to 0/88, respectively. Using Morgan and Kerjsi and stratified random sampling, 135 people selected as statistical society (N=135).Spearman correlation coefficients showed that there exists a significant positive relationship between the variables of cooperation background as a rural facilitator, the usage extent of rural facilitator of media on environment, the extent of the ability to communicate with the community and rural women, the participation rate in extension training courses, the participation rate in environmental courses, rural facilitators satisfaction of the concept of training courses, rural facilitators satisfaction of the methods used in training courses, facilitation attitude and rural facilitators approach on environment protection and the role of rural facilitators in extension of sustainable development and environment protection measures. Regression analysis showed that participation in extension–training courses, rural facilitators satisfaction with the methods used in extension–training courses, facilitation attitude, age and satisfaction of rural facilitators with training course content can explain 36% of changes in the dependent variable (rural facilitators’ role in promoting sustainable development and environment protection measures).
