Many companies benefit from the technology transfer to enhance their competitive advantage. Although technology transfer leading to competitive advantage not only at the corporate level, but also at the macro level, technology transfer means towards economic growth, social development, quality of life, and even the development of the culture and value systems. Therefore, it is not surprising that interest in "the concept of" technology transfer in the past few decades has been attention and literature has grown exponentially. Important concepts in this field that identifies the important role it plays in the successful transfer of technology, is the concept of "gatekeeper". This paper tries to take advantage of the existing literature in the field of technology transfer, the first to introduce the concept of gatekeeper and then do a review of the literature.
