Evaluation of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder among War Survivors

Abstract:
Introduction
The aim of this study was to evaluate post-traumatic stress disorder in survivors of imposed war after 21 years.
Materials And Methods
By snowball sampling, A total of 412 subjects based on their cities were selected and received the questionnaires. Then all people above the cut-off point were chosen and were enrolled in this study. Each of answers were interpreted clearly. Also the rankings of disorder based on indicators of PTSD obtained values and its relation to job and education were evaluated using T test and ANOVA methods.
Results
Based on our results; PTSD between self-sacrificing were 51% in moderate level, between dedicators were 69.9% in low level and between nobles were 79.9% in moderate levels. There are no relationship between PTSD and job or education level in experimented subjects.
Conclusion
The results showed that the rate of PTSD in veterans and dedicators were higher than others and there are not any relation between it and job or education level.
