A Structural Model of the Emotion Regulation Difficulties, Positive and Negative Affects and Sleep Quality

The poor sleep quality are very common in today’s society, has a significantly negative impact on psychological and physiological Dimensions.
today’s society The aim of this study was to investigate correlational relationship and draw the mediation model of positive and negative affect between difficulties in emotion regulation and sleep quality.
For this purpose, from the statistical population of the Bu Ali sina University students, 505 were selected by using multistage cluster sampling. Then the emotion regulation difficulties, positive and negative affect, sleep quality were distributed among research participants to respond. Collected data were analyzed by using descriptive and correlation indicators and Structural equation modeling.
Results indicated that there is a significant positive correlation between the components of difficulty in emotion regulation and negative affect with Poor sleep quality, and also Positive correlation between positive affect with high sleep quality (p The results support the hypothesis that emotion regulation difficulties leads to disruption of sleep quality and positive affect can have a moderating role in this regard.
