The Study of Religious identity and its relationship to degree and kind of web-based social networks usage (the case of Yasouj university⬠"!s students)

Abstract:
This paper aimed to evaluate the religious identity of students and its relationship to degree and kind of web-based social networks usage baced on "Uses and gratification" theory and Gidden's "Structuration" theory. Using survey method, Statistics society had been Yasouj university students from which 400 persons were determined based on Lin Sampling Table (1976) as sample size and were selected by classified-multi stage random sampling method. Researcher-made questionnaire was used as research tool for data collection, which face validity and Cronbach's alpha (0.93) were used for its validity and reliability, respectively. The findings showed that there is significant diference in religious identity according to membership situation, use kind of social netwoks, gender and studying majority and there is significant direct relationship between membership history and religious identity. There is not significant relationship between the degree of social networks use and religious identity. Independent variables, can explained 15.5 percents of dependent variableâs variance.
