Purpose
The present study aims at investigating the role of cognitive-humanistic group therapy in improving the communication skills and problem-solving across married women.Method
The research method was quasi-experimental with a pre-test, post-test design. The study population were all married women who had referred to a counselling center in Mashhad, 22 persons of whom were selected and were randomly assigned into the experimental and control groups (n = 11 in each group). Participants responded to the family problem-solving questionnaire along with the Iranian psychological functioning families subscale. The data were analyzed using univariate analysis of covariance (ANCOVA).Findings: The results of univariate analysis of covariance showed that cognitive-humanistic group therapy had a significant effect on the communication skills of the experimental group (P
