An Analysis of the Poetic Language of Two Dramas by Bahram Beyzayi

Poetic drama is a title that is used for some of dramatic works such as works of Bahram Beyzayee and Akbar Radi. This dissertation is persuading a method to analyze such dramas. This dissertation reviewed poetic aspects of drama’s language in 1990’s and 2000’s. In this dissertation a theoretical schema of formalism and structuralism critics is persuaded. It seems that, this base is suitable for analyzing Iranian poetic language of drama. The most important achievement of this dissertation are defining poetic lingual elements and providing a coherent paradigm. The method of analysis of the dramas is descriptive-analytic. Lingual poetic elements in each drama are considered according to its form and content in whole text. It will be defined that the style of each drama according to witch elements dominance is inclined to poem. Therefore, with important achievement of formalism and structuralism- make unknown, destabilize – content level, lingual level of each work will be analyzed. Literary level will be analyzed according to semantic rhetoric and literal arrays. Then, the important techniques that result in a poetic drama will be analyzed. Finally, the style and structural elements will be defined. In conclusion, each work will be reviewed structurally to explore and analyze poetic language of each drama.
