Assessment and Evaluation of sustainability in touristic villages Case Study: Ajabshir County- touristic axis of Ghale Chayee

Today the role of tourism in developing villges is considered as a main method for releaving the levels of sustainability in different aspects of social, economic and environmental; but it is noticable that the process of assesment of levels of sustainability in touristic villages entails selection of variables and models that are capable to reveal real conditions of villages and their sustainalbility in different stages of development. Ghale Chayee touristic axis in Ajabshir County include 9 touristic villages that changed due to the enterence of tourists and should be studied. This research is applied research that has been done with the aim of evaluating sustainability in Ghale Chayee touristic axis villiges, showing the location of villages in different phases using Tourist life cycle model and finally investigating the relationship of sustainablility with phases of life cycle model. This research has been done with the approach of descriptive- analytical and method of surveying. The population include residents of 9 villages and tourists entering to this area. For collecting data 200 people from local society and 200 people from tourists has been selected randomly as a sample size and by using Cochran formula. Content validity of questionnaires from viewpoint of experts and professors calculated well and stability of questionnaire calculated 92% for local society and 90% for tourists using Cronbach's alpha formula. Data after collecting, has been analyzed using Barometer Sustainability Model, Tourist life cycle model and Kendall test. The results of implementation of Barometer Model showed that all villages are in average and potential level of sustainablility. Also the results of life cycle model revealed that village Gozlujeh with 55% and Yengjeh with 523% are in development stage and the rest of the villages are in involvement phase. Also based on the results of Kendall test, there is a significant positive correlation between different levels of sustainability and rural location. It is more in economic sustainablity and involvement phase. Therefore, in order to utilize the capacity of tourism to achieve sustainable development of rural areas to provide required facilities and infrastructure to attract maximum tourists.
