Experimental Study of Effect of Teaching Problem Solving on the Self-esteem of learners

Abstract:
In behavioral sciences, in general, and in psychology, in particular, the importance of self-esteem is recognized in the successes of individuals in different fields of life. This research aimed to study the effect of teaching problem-solving on the self-esteem of learners in 2015.
this is a semi-experimental research and statistical population of research was all male high school students up to 496 students that 36 students were selected by multi-step cluster sampling and divided into two control and case groups by random substitution. Case group has 11 problem-solving sessions and after intervention for both groups, post-test was conducted. SPSS18 software and covariance analysis were used for data analysis. comparison of pretest and posttest results showed that there is significant difference in self-esteem of case and control groups (P
