factors affecting on fear of childbirth structures based on the theory of planned behavior in pregnant women Aleshstar city in 2015

Fear of childbirth in pregnant women is a common problem that often leads to the question cesarean section.Due to the complications of cesarean delivery for mother and baby , do research on predictive factors fear of childbirth is essential.
This cross-sectional analytical study on 200 pregnant women in the Aleshtar city for simple random sampling was conducted in 2015. Data collection tools included two questionnaires. One researcher-made questionnaire, including structures theory of planned behavior. The structures attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and behavioral intention was included.. And a standardized questionnaire fear of childbirth. Data analysis software SPSS20 and using one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation and regression were performed.
71 of the 200 women studied (35.5 percent) were going to do a cesarean section. As a result, attitudes and fear between the rod structures and perceived behavioral control with fear of childbirth correlated inversely was observed. attitude was the most important predictor variables fear of pregnant women studied. In terms of fear, attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control between the women who want natural childbirth, and women who want to cesarean section, there were statistically significant differences​.
It is suggested at the time of designing educational interventions for reducing unnecessary caesarean childbirth fear and loss on increasing positive attitude and perceived behavioral control increased emphasis on the individual.
