Islamic political philosophy and the challenge of contemporary new mutazila

Abstract:
New mu`tazila is one of the most influential rational movement in modern times in the Islamic world especially in the Arab countries whit a new readings of the intellectual and spiritual heritage of Islamic community. Despite it's remarkable intellectual achievements in reading of the Islamic traditional thoughts, and because of it's reliance on autonomous intellect and modern epistemology and methodology, it confronted the conventional studies and Islamic thoughts with challenges. The intellectual principles and epistemic background of this type of critique of the usual rationality in the Islamic world is partially inconsistent with the Islamic traditional thoughts. And this is why it's dialogue with other views even with rationalism in Islamic world is troublesome. The relationship between reason and religion is one of the disagreements that will affect the political realm. In this regard, Mohammed abed al-jabri's conception and interpretations of the Intellectual currents is very important in Islamic world. This article will consider the challenges of this kind of rationalism.
