Study of published periodicals in Tehran University since establishment till 1394

pupose:To determine the status (number, subject, changes, release period, websites, Scientific-Research) journals published in the Tehran University since the establishment until the end of year 1394.
This is a descriptive survey. The population of approximately 600 academic and student magazine published in Tehran University since the establishment (1313) until the end of 1394. Sampling of the census and the entire population is included. Collecting process data and logs were taken using library studies and information gathered in the table. Data analysis using SPSS software and descriptive statistics presented in the form of graphs.
Findings: 256 academic and 306 student journals were known at Tehran University. From 185 journals that were published, 48/8 percent are about human sciences. More than 52% of the published university journals have research-scientific degree and 8/32 percent of approved research forms the scientific publications. The dominant language is Farsi and the publishment period of about half of the magazines is bi-quarterly Journal and the other half is quarterly. The oldest university magazine is now published under the title of Journal of Veterinary Researches.the oldest magazine has been about 30 years from the 50s . 76% of active journals, delivere their information via website.
Because of social situation number of journals decreased and number of published magazines increased thanks to new technologies. because of the importance of publishing scientific results for researchers, it is necessary to design websites for all journals.
