Evaluation and ranking of universities in Tehran emphasis on the state of the university ranking systems

Abstract:The aim of this study was to evaluate and rank the universities in Tehran emphasis on the state of the university ranking systems.This is an applied and descriptive-analytic study.The statistical population of the study is 383 students in Tehran public universities which were selected by using of random sampling. In point of view of gathering information is documental and used questionnaire with the score of 0.951 for reliability. To analyze the data have been used TOPSIS and SPSS application.The results show that between universities in Tehran in terms of non-cognitive characteristics are different. And each of the methods is used to rank the different indices and indicators used in these methods are also differences.The results show that the combination indices at Tehran University, Sharif and Tarbiat Modares in terms of measured indices respectively ranked first, second and third place.
