Abstract:
Objective
Multiple sclerosis affects the physical and psychological state of many patients. The purpose of this study was to compare perceived social support and self-compassion among patients with multiple sclerosis and normal people.Method
The present study was a causal-comparative study. In this study, 200 individuals with multiple sclerosis and 200 healthy individuals were selected by sampling method as a sample of this study in the years 1396-97. The research tools included perceived social support scale and self-compassion scale. Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance.Results
The results showed that there is a significant difference between the group of patients with multiple sclerosis and healthy people in terms of perceived social support and self-compassion.Conclusion
People with multiple sclerosis uses perceived social support and self-compassion for more adaptation to disease.Keywords:
