THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EXCITED FAMILY THERAPY APPROACH ON IMPROVING SEXUAL SATISFACTION AND MARITAL STRESS IN PATIENTS WITH CORONARY ARTERY BYPASS GRAFT

In cardiac patients, psychological issues in marital and sexual relationships are abundantly leading to reduced sexual satisfaction. One of the ways to heal isto use psychological treatments; among psychological therapies, family therapy is an excitement ofone ofthe interventions that focuses on couple's relationships and emotions.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of theEmotion-centered Family Therapy improving marital satisfaction andsexual satisfaction ofcoronary artery bypass graft. Asemi-experimental study with a sample size of 300 people was selected from among CABG patients who were referred to the Tehran Heart Hospital for rehabilitation program and were replaced intwo groups of control and test.
Theexperimental group was trained in eight group session. Data were collected byHudson Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire and Marital Stress Questionnaire inStockholm, Tehran, intwo stages of pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using SPSS-24 software, independent t-test, paired t-test, descriptive statistics and covariance analysis.
