Manifestation of Mahdism in Ashura Literature (A case study: Adab al-Taf collection)

Human beings have experienced many schools and governments throughout the history, but in none of them they have found what they have lost, i.e. justice, peace and security. Human being have consistently failed or been defeated in this regard. Today, humanity is seeking another political thought to find human values in it, and it is the political thought of the Savior which is accomplished in Islam with Mahdavi government. The issues of Mahdism have attracted the attention of the scholars of literature and also poets. Investigation and reflection in this research area, after the Ashura literature, has been extensively increased. Therefore, Mahdaviat - as one of the subjects in Shii poetry - has formed a wide range of Shiite literature in different periods and has grabbed the focus of many poets. Among them, the poets from the first century to the fourteenth century whose Ashura poems have been compiled in a ten-volume collection called " Adab al-Taf ", by Javad Shebar. Some of these poets have expressed their genuine dedication to Imam-Al-Asr (the Imam of the "Period") in their poems and have written poems about this Imam in various areas and subjects. Therefore, the current investigation, by adopting a descriptive-analytic perspective aims to describe the face of Mahdism in the first five volumes of the Adab al-Taf collection and analyze the reflection of concepts such as absenteeism, waiting, advocacy, revenge, the continuation of the Ahl al-Bayt’s path, and the establishment of a just government in their poems.
