To Investigate the Effect of Social Networks on Educational Process in military universities (Case Study: Students and Professors of university of Imam Khomeini- Nowshahr City)

This research investigates the impact of social media on training trends in training centers of the strategic navy of the IRI. This research is applicable in terms of objective, descriptive-survey in terms of nature, and field research in terms of data collection. The statistical population of the research is all students and professors of Imam Khomeini University of navy force in Noushehr, which include 615 students and 80 professors. In order to collect data, the researcher-made questionnaire is used. The questionnaire validity is examined using experts' opinions and its reliability is explored using Chronbach's alpha and composite reliability. With respect to the results, all dimensions are confirmed. The social media factor is consist of 5 dimensions of awareness, facilitation in communication, class discussion sustainability, emotional support, and group forming, which were evaluated using 22 questions proposed in the questionnaire. Random sampling is used for distributing 120 questionnaires. 111 questionnaires were collected. The second generation Structural Equation Modeling using Partial Least Square approach is employed for data analysis. Findings show that in the significance level of 95% social media has the positive and significant impact on training trend. It was also determined that class discussion sustainability, and emotional support, have the highest and lowest effects on training trend, respectively. However, all social media dimensions have the significant and positive effect on training trend.
