Investigating the Factors Influence on Social Health among the Citizens of Province Ilam

Abstract:
Introduction
Social health is as an important aspect of social health. Using sociological theories, the present study aimed to examine the factors that affect social health of citizens in Ilam province.
Methodology
used sampling combination, a group of 384 people who were above 15 years old were selected to participate in this study. Research methodology included survey research and a questionnaire. Findings: The mean social health in Ilam province is slightly above average value. Demographic variables such as, age, educational and marital status were meaningfully related to social health. However, gender and socio-economic status were not meaningfully correlated with social health. The result of Structural Equational Modelling showed that, in making social health index, the social cohesion dimension had the most influence on it. Considering the share of direct and indirect effects on path analysis and using LISREL, variables of religiosity, social networking, social trust, social protection, and social security exerted the highest effect on social health.Keywords:
