Evaluating the Effects of Dam Construction on Sustainable Development of Rural Tourism siahzakh Dam in Divandareh, Iran

The present paper is aimed at the feasibility and tourism problems in the Siyazakh dam aera. The emphasis of the article is on the creation of tourism opportunities due to the construction of the dam and the infrastructure created for this industry; therefore, considering the consequences of dam construction on the tourism industry in the upstream and downstream of the dam, using the three main components Economic, social, and cultural considerations, and examines the opportunities, weaknesses and threats of tourism from the perspective of the communities of the region and authorities. Therefore, the method of socio-economic impact assessment and strategic model of SWAT was used. In order to analyze the data in the qualitative part of the technique of compilation of mental maps, content analysis was used and in the quantitative part of the Likert spectrum by comparing residents' attitudes and factor analysis has been used. The findings show that by creating a new attraction in the tourism area, the upstream and downstream of the dam has greatly increased, and at the bottom of the dam has improved the welfare and economic conditions of the inhabitants, but in the upstream due to forced displacement of residents Upstream and lack of plans to resettle these communities in new places close to their former villages and lack of infrastructure. Upstream tourism could not improve the welfare and economic conditions of this community, which has the most environmental, material and spiritual damages, As the most important foreign tourism threat in the upstream villages
