Comparison of the sense of coherence and marital conflict solving styles of working and housewives Abstract

The present study aimed to compare the sense of coherence and marital conflict styles of employed and housewives. In order to conduct a causal-comparative study, sampling was used for selection of employed married and homebased sample from available language schools of Tehran district 2. Data were gathered using the Sense of Consistency Questionnaire (Antonovsky, 1993) and the Conflict Resolution Style Questionnaire (Rahim (ROCI-II), 1983). Descriptive statistics, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and independent t-test were used. The results showed that there was no significant difference between working women and the rest of the society. The results also showed that there is a significant difference between the conflict resolution scale of working women and home-based women, as well as the lightness of the style and the style of avoidance and style (p <0.05). As a result, the results show that the style of organizational disagreement and reconciliation between working women and the hidden house is not meaningful.
