Organizational problems of public and private Pharmaceutical quality control departments

The aim of this study was to survey the problems of quality control (QC) departments of public and private pharmaceutical companies. In this cross sectional study, population included sample of QC departments of public and private pharmaceutical companies. To develop SWOT analysis, in first step questionnaires were filled by brain storm and in second step listed questionnaires (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) were evaluated by managers, heads and key experts of QC departments. According to SWOT analysis, the public and private QC departments achieved 2.55 and 2.67 in IFE (Internal Factors Evaluation) and 2.25 and 2.55 in EFE (External Factors Evaluation). This study showed that private QC departments placed in aggressive quadrant, but public QC departments is in competitive quadrant.
