Antimicrobial Effect of Datura stramonium and Prosopis farcta on Pseudomonas aeruginosa Isolated from Patients

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an important pathogen in hospitals which shows high antibiotic resistance. The aim of this study was to investigate the antimicrobial effects of Datura stramonium and Prosopis farcta) on Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from patients in Zabol Rattles and dwarf plants were collected from Zabol city. Extraction was carried out using a rotary machine. The bacterial strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were obtained from patients referring to the Amiralmomenin hospital. Eventually, the minimum inhibitory concentration and the minimum bactericide concentration were determined by microdilution method. The results of this study showed that the lowest inhibitory concentration of the kettle extract was 12.5, which 6 strains were inhibited in this concentration, while the highest inhibitory concentration was 25 and the highest bactericide concentration was equal to 50. The results of this study showed that 12.5% of the ethanolic extract of the two strains were inhibited, whereas 5 strains of bacteria did not grow in any concentration of the extract. Considering the results and the increasing resistance of bacteria to chemical antibiotics, it is suggested that further studies be conducted on these plants so that antibacterial compounds of this plant can be used in the treatment of bacteria.
