Abstract:
Background
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen responsible for 10 to 15 percent of hospitalized infections. This bacterium has two complete systems of Corum Sensing, which activates pathogenic genes. The aim of this study was to identify the chromosomal genes in clinical strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from patients in Zabol, antimicrobial resistance patterns.
Methods
A cross-sectional study was carried out over a period of 6 months from 2016 to 2017. The samples were collected from blood, urine, respiratory tract secretion of patients referred to Imam Khomeini,Amir-al-Momenin hospitals in Zabol, Iran.
Results
The results of this study showed that the lowest concentration of ceftriaxone antibiotic was 2 μg , ml, in which 2 strains were inhibited, while the highest inhibitory concentration was 1024 μg , ml. The results of the genetic outbreak showed that Las B (4%),Apr A (2.5%) were found in Pseudomonas plants.
Conclusion
The results of this study indicate the high antibiotic resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In addition, the genes producing QS showed to have high activity.
