The evaluation of higher education students' satisfaction with integration of Ferdowsi university libraries based on Kano customer satisfaction model

Abstract:
Purpose
In the present research, higher education students' satisfaction from integration of libraries in Ferdowsi University was measured.
Methodology
This study was an applied research that was conducted through a survey. 120 higher education students were selected as the sample population from an unlimited population through random cluster sampling. Data collection was done by a researcher made questionnaire based on Kano customer satisfaction model.
Findings
Research results showed a meaningful decrease in higher education students’ satisfaction with the services of four public sections of the central library (in circulation desk, reference, periodicals and multimedia sections) after integrating libraries. In digital reference services desk, this difference has been meaningless. In thesis section, meaningful increase in students' satisfaction was confirmed. It can be concluded that the integration of libraries in Ferdowsi university of Mashhad increased the number of dissatisfied students.
