Use of entropy model to assess the risk of landslide in the proposed road route of Torqabeh-Dorood (Mashhad-Neyshabur)

Landslide, as one of the natural disasters, has had many dangers especially in mountainous areas, causing many mortal and financial losses throughout the world. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the factors affecting the occurrence of landslide and to prepare its susceptibility map in part of the Binalood heights (Torghabeh-Drood). In order to zoning the risk of landslide using the entropy index, landslide lands were first determined, Then, the factors affecting the occurrence of slopes such as slope, elevation, gradient direction, tilt type, land use layers, distance from faults, distance from the road, distance from, Stream power index, sediment transport index and precipitation in GIS were prepared and then An estimation of the weight of the landslide sensitivity map was prepared by entropy method. The results showed that land use factors, slope type and rainfall were the most important factors in the landslide occurrence and stream power index and sediment transport index were the least factors in the landslide occurrence in region. The map was divided into four classes of low, moderate, high and very high sensitivity. More than 50% of the area has high and very high slip sensitivity indicating the potential for landslide in the area. The map was evaluated using the ROC curve and the under curve and it was determined that the accuracy of the prediction is very good in the occurrence of landslide occurrence.
