Investigating the Factors Affecting Citizen Participation in Municipal Services Development and Services(Study: North Valiasr neighborhood, Tehran)

Citizen's participation in urban activities can bring legitimacy, acceptance and satisfaction of citizens to urban management together. In this regard, attention to the participation of people in the administration of city affairs has been raised in Iran scientifically and practically and some good measures have been taken in this regard, but it seems that these activities, as they should not have participated To really attract people in urban affairs. On this basis, the purpose of this research is to identify the extent of participation of citizens in development plans. The governing approach to this research is descriptive-analytic. In the present study, data collection tools and variables size, data collection questionnaire was compiled through library and field studies. In the field of instrumentation, direct observations, interviews and distribution of the questionnaire. The statistical population of the study consisted of citizens of Vali-e-Asr neighborhood of Tehran, in 1396. Among them, based on the Cochran sampling formula, a sample of 200 heads of households was selected by simple random sampling. . The validity of the research tool (the researcher-made questionnaire) shows a confidence level of 85% by calculating the alpha of Cronbach. Finally, the results of the research showed that the participation of citizens in development and services activities indicates that the citizens have not had much participation. Spearman's test shows a significant 99% significance level between the level of education (the most important component of the social base), which in fact indicates that increasing the level of education will increase the participation rate of citizens in development projects. The relationship between the level of education of citizens and their participation in different stages of urban planning planning is significant up to 99%.
