Spatial – local distribution and planimetry of the cities of kerman province by use of geographical information system (GIS)

Population increase, migration and population concentration in a place, provide a base for appearance of cities and cities became a place for attraction of population because of their especial situation and this concentration made cities larger and larger gradually, so that 20th century is given the name of the century of cities and 21th century is given the name of great cities. Rural planet substitutes with urban planet and city dwelling have been made the major phenomenom of humans life. We face with these questions about the cities of kerman province : how the cities of province have been located in this geographical place? What factors influence on their spatial – local distribution? Itave the cities the same level? What factors influence on planimetry of cities? The findings of investigation indicate that local distribution of cities is heterogeneous and the cities of province have different levels and different concentration level. Population number, performance level and their influence area is different which is addressed in this article. In current research, investigation method is documentary – field. Investigations data are collected by use of existent information and collected information by field method and these information are processed by GIS softwares and the necessary planes are prepared and then the necessary conclusion and strategies are given.
