Breakdown of Security Feeling in Tehran Parks in the Operation Zone of Police Stations

The present research aims at reviewing societal security feeling in parks based on the viewpoints of citizens and it also aims at identifying its relationship with some social and place- related factors. The research is of survey type and assessment tool is self-made questionnaire. N=1155 including Tehrani citizens using parks in Tehran. The respondents are selected in clusters from among people in the parks. The validity of the research tool approved through using superficial validity; and reliability of questions approved by Chronbach's alpha coefficient (bigger than 0.75).Data analysis conducted based on descriptive and deductive statistics. The results of the research indicated that there is significant relationship between some factors such as land application, variety of usage of lands around it, and their working hours; and security feeling. Data analysis also indicated there is not significant relationship and difference between some variables such as gender, age and level of education with citizens' security feeling.
