Analyse the Role of Sustainable Urban Development Indices on Organizing the Declined Areas (Case Study: Neighborhood Alighapoo Ardabil)

In central regions and ancient neighborhoods of cities, the pass from tradition to modernity has not been realized but despite rigid resistance of this regions on manifests of modernity, no reconstruction has implemented. As a result, the consequences of design and regulation of construction have been the huge obstacle. For analyzing this issue, the Ali Ghapoo neighborhood of Ardabil city as an old neighborhood which has decayed context, has been chose as a case study. This place has been situated in center of city. The aim of this paper is to recognize the related problems of Ardabil city and old context of Ali Ghapoo neighborhood and introduce of hidden dimensions. This neighborhood like other existing contexts in our country needs fundamental regenerating approaches. One of the logical and basic approaches in this field is to consider the sustainable development for renewal of this contexts that in this field attention to approaches like social participation of residents, quality and environment, use of material for renewal of this neighborhoods, empowerment and etc. With regard to basic needs in the field of functional and physical renewal and in Ali Ghapoo neighborhood on one side and physical, social and economic problems on the other side, content and goal of this research is to recognize and categorize of criteria and index of sustainable development principle in city. The declined context of city attribute to legal areas of city which because of physical decay and inaccessibility and lack of infrastructure were vulnerable.
