An Analysis of Studies on Reducing Energy Consumption and Emissions in the Transportation Sector

Undoubtedly reducing pollutants as a regional and global goal requires the adoption of appropriate and efficient solutions. Meanwhile, the transportation sector needs to pay close attention due to its importance and position, and it can annually bring significant amounts of economic savings to the people and governments by reducing energy consumption and adverse environmental impacts, reducing travel time and unwanted delays . Considering the extensive studies carried out in this field using various methods and each of the studies has different results, this paper attempts to express the energy consumption in the transportation sector and the problem solving approaches Therefore, in this study, the energy consumption in the transportation sector has been expressed and the approaches to solving the problem of reducing energy consumption and emission of pollutants in this section are discussed and some studies in this field are examined, in the end, the comparison of studies and methods used are discussed
