Religious Mystical Ethics in Fayz Kashani’s Ehya Olumuddin and Almuhajjatulbayza (A Glimpse at Religion and Ethics)
This paper deals with the religious mystical ethics by Imam Mohammad Qazali and Fayz Kashani in Ehya Olumuddin and Almuhajjatulbayza in an analytical and comparative way through library and reference studies, and while clarifying the concept of “religion” and “ethics” by Fayz and Qazali, the four types of ethical and religious dependencies, i.e. conventional, linguistic, ontological, and psychological are comprehended, extracted, and explained. And finally the overruling ethical approach against these two contexts are discussed and the comparisons and contracts of Fayz and Qazali in superiority of mystical ethics as well as the means of refinement in Ehya Olumuddin are clarified. Foresight over afterlife and core action of human being are the significant teachings of Fayz and Qazali in mystical ethics.
