A Study of Professional Ethics in Clinical Training of Teachers and Students of Zabol University of Medical Sciences

Professional ethics is a kind of ethical commitment and conscientiousness towards any kind of duty and responsibility. Professional ethics in the educational environment is explicitly and explicitly induced in students' performance. Clinical education was designed and conducted from the perspective of clinical professors and students of Zabol University of Medical Sciences.

In this study, simple random sampling with proportional distribution among clinical students was used and 205 students and clinical professors were surveyed in a census of 60 people. Data gathering tool was Abolghasemzadeh Professional Ethics Questionnaire (2014) Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 19 using frequency, mean and standard deviation indices.

The findings of this study indicate the importance of professional ethics in education, with 60.51% of clinical professors and 51.63% of students agreeing with this issue. In this study, the component of self-sacrifice (73.3%) was observed by professors and the component of observance of social norms (62.9%) was the most observed by clinical faculty members. The empathy component (44.4%) and the respect for others (53.2%) were the least evaluated by clinical faculty members. Statistical tests showed that adherence to all components of professional ethics was strongly evaluated by clinical faculty members.

Adherence to some of the components of professional ethics at a relatively low level Leda recommends that relevant authorities conduct workshops for clinical professors to further promote professional ethics.
